    7. There is a family story that James Meally , my great grandfather, returned to Ireland to help fight the cause. We assumed that was perhaps the uprising in 1916. We found it odd, and my grandmother wasn’t happy because they were left to fend for themselves. He did make it home. However after doing some research and finding out the family history it all makes sense and explains the family's strong passion for justice, politics and Irish politics.
